Vicki
Mom, it's been a couple of months now, since yo left. i so wish i could talk to you and here your voice. growing up, i remember watching you and dad play card games with family and friends. then after i became married, we spent so much time with you. of course, we learned to play all kinds of games with you. one of your favorite sayings, "you ready to play a game". and over the years, you became dependent on playing games with everyone. truth is mom, i loved playing those games with you. we would laugh and talk and had so much fun together.
over 20 years ago, larry and marty introduced you to shang hi. that changed all our lives with playing games with you. it was as if you were obsessed with this new card game. you introduced it to everyone in your life since. and you took it seriously as if the game became one of your babies. lol! looking back, i see how this was your way of socializing with everyone in your life. while you were playing, your countenance begin to change. i think you lived shang hi, breathed shang hi. and most of all, you wanted to win. i know dad and myself would even just let you win. maybe others were doing that as well. what i would give to play one more game with you now. if you get to play games in heaven, i'm sure you have a game of shang hi going. but i hope mom, you don't call nobody a turkey butt, lol! love you, mom! vicki
